Know what is saved, how it is used, and where to make a change.
Mito Map is built and operated by Precision Mito. This guide explains the account controls you can use today. You can read it before creating an account; opening your records or changing settings requires sign-in.
This permission can include identifiable health information used or shared for research, validation, publication, product and commercial development, and partnerships under the Privacy Policy. You can turn it off in Profile Settings without losing account access or current features. Permission to contact you about research is separate and starts off.
Who operates Mito Map and can review information?
Precision Mito builds Mito Map. Meet the named team on the About page, or contact support@precisionmito.com with account or data questions.
Authorized Mito Map personnel and contractors may review submitted account and health information to operate the service, support you, troubleshoot problems, and improve the product and its models and reports. Turning off research sharing does not turn off the data use needed for those purposes.
While research and external-sharing permission is on, the Privacy Policy also permits identifiable information to be shared with authorized external recipients. These may include researchers, clinicians, advisors, contractors, vendors, collaborators, partners, prospective partners, buyers, licensees, and other third parties for the purposes it describes. Separate written agreements may add limits for particular data.
Review the default and save your choice.
- Open Profile Settings → Research and sharing settings.
- Review the research/data-sharing checkbox. It starts checked for new accounts; an existing saved opt-out is preserved.
- Uncheck it to opt out, or check it to opt back in, then save your settings.
After an opt-out is saved, Mito Map stops the research use and external sharing of your identifiable information covered by that permission, except where another permission, legal basis, or written agreement applies. Account access and current features remain available.
The separate contact checkbox starts off and controls future research outreach. Joining a particular study remains your choice. Changing these settings does not delete your saved records or revoke the doctor or caregiver share links you created.
Choose a record and the details a share link can show.
In Saved Submissions → Share results, choose a recipient, record scope, and information categories before creating a read-only link. The form sends the link and your background note to the recipient email when email delivery succeeds.
Anyone who has an active link can view its permitted information. Treat the link as private and share it only with people you trust. Use Revoke in the share-link list to stop future access through that link. Revoking it cannot remove copies a recipient has already saved.
The Data Use and Sharing Log shows saved-item and sharing activity currently tracked, including share-link views or revocations and research settings. It is not a complete record of every internal review or external data use.
Download the exports available for a saved entry.
Saved Submissions lists saved map states and measured-function check-ins. Open a saved map entry to create a doctor-ready PDF summary, or use its disability documentation packet downloads in Markdown, JSON, or print-ready HTML.
These exports cover the saved entry and the information included in that report or packet. They are not a full account archive or a download of every original imported file. Keep your own copies of important source records. For data not available through an export control, contact support with the records you need.
Saving basic health information, map states, measured-function history, labs, health record imports, wearable connections, and browsing the full intervention library are included with Free. Plus is optional for fuller reports, forecasts, and budget and time filters.
Disconnecting stops a connection; saved history remains.
Open Wearables and sensors, find the connected provider, select Disconnect, and confirm. Future data stops syncing through that connection. Data already saved in Mito Map remains in your history.
For a manual file import, stop importing new files to stop adding data. An imported file is a snapshot; it does not establish an ongoing connection by itself. Direct Epic/MyChart connections are not currently available. You can download a supported record file from your portal and upload it manually; see the imports guide for available formats.
Disconnecting a provider does not delete its source account, remove Mito Map's saved history, or change your research permission. To remove stored information, use an available delete control, contact support for help with a particular record, or schedule account deletion below.
There is no single automatic expiry for saved health data.
The Privacy Policy permits Mito Map to keep data for as long as it believes the data is useful for operating, improving, protecting, researching, commercializing, validating, or supporting the service, unless law or a separate written agreement requires a different period.
Use Delete on a saved entry in Saved Submissions to remove that submission. This is separate from deleting the whole account and does not mean every underlying source record, import, or draft has also been removed.
A research opt-out limits future use covered by that permission; it is not a deletion request or a promise to retrieve copies already shared. Contact support if you need help locating or removing a particular record.
Schedule deletion in Profile Settings.
- Download any available records you want to keep before deletion.
- Open Profile Settings → Delete account and data, select Delete my account, and complete the confirmation.
- Deletion is scheduled one month after your request. During that buffer, you can use Cancel scheduled deletion in Profile Settings.
After the deadline, deletion of your profile, submissions, health records, connected-device data, and other account data is permanent and cannot be reversed. Scheduling deletion also cancels Plus renewal; canceling the deletion request does not restart subscription renewal.
This guide summarizes existing controls. The Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and any separate written agreement describe the applicable data practices.
